Hello, I’m Sharmistha Talukdar — founder and cake artist behind Mum’s Baking.

My baking journey began almost fifteen years ago, when I made a cake for my son’s birthday.

What started as something special for my family soon became a real passion. As I spent more time baking and decorating, I found myself loving the creative process and the joy that a homemade cake could bring to a celebration.

As my skills grew, friends and family began asking me to make cakes for their own special occasions. Their encouragement gave me the confidence to turn my passion into a business, and around 10 years ago, Mum’s Baking was born.

Since then, I’ve had the pleasure of creating cakes and sweet treats for hundreds of happy customers. Over the years I’ve kept building my skills — trying new techniques, exploring fresh ideas, and taking courses to develop my craft even further.

Although celebration cakes remain at the heart of what I do, Mums Baking has grown to include cookies, brownies, and other homemade treats. I also enjoy taking part in pop-up stalls at shopping malls and fairs, where I can share my bakes with even more people and connect with the local community.
